Audio and camera issues on Google Chrome

If you are experiencing some issues when testing your microphone when using Google Chrome, this is very likely related to your permission settings.

In some cases you will see an image of a camera with an X through in your URL bar, as seen below, but this is not always the case. The best way to find out is to adjust your Audio and Camera permissions in Google Chrome.

Changing your Audio and Camera permissions in Google Chrome:

Step 1: Go to Google Chrome settings by clicking on icon to the right of the URL bar, as seen below.

Step 2: Go to 'Show advanced settings at the bottom of the page.

Step 3: Go to 'Privacy' and then 'Content Settings'

Step 4: In Content Settings, go to the 'Media' section. Make sure that you tick the box that says "Ask when a site requires access to your camera and microphone (recommended)"

Step 5: Click 'Done'

Step 6: Return to your recording page on 'Sonru' and refresh this page.

Step 7: Click 'Allow' on the pop up that now appears at the top of the screen and refresh the page again.
